Lake Malawi Safari '05'

Maturing Tramitichroims traveling over sandy area's in close proximity to large Taeniolethrinops who stir up the substrate for food are a common site.

The rocky area's always have a good number of fish of varying species on them.

We "pulled up stakes" at Chitende Island and headed south of Chilumba to dive at another interesting reef in the Chitimba Bay area. This relatively new reef is called Hara or Gallireya Reef. Luckily I had a better chance at taking pics of more recent additions to our hobby.Pseudotropheus sp."zebra long pelvic hara"

Pseudotropheus sp."zebra hara"

The Tropheops below is one of several new species found at Hara Reef . The females of this species are yellow!

This reef is made up of what appears to be volcanic rock. This is the only location I have found this type of rock (so far).
