Lake Malawi Safari '01'

The plan this year was to use Likoma Island as our home base and dive the reefs around here and Chizumulu Island. Of coarse Likoma being so close to Mozambique we couldn't miss going there ,it was only a 45 minute ride on our boat, the Lord Justin.

Another spot just just south of Cobwe was Mara Point. This was another spot close to shore with strange rocks which resemble what I would call "Pagoda" stone. This area is littered with these formations, some quite close to the surface.

The local area boat taxi is often fully loaded! Each dive site always produces different Afra colour varieties. This variety is only a 40 minute boat ride from Cobwe and you can see the difference. (C.Afra "cobwe")
