Lake Malawi Safari '01'

The next day we headed to Likoma Island, Malawi. The weather was great and the water was calm. So we made hast for the 26 hour trip! On the way we dove at Minos Reef. Large catfish are frequently observed.

The Cynotilapia afra at this location are very close in color to the C.afra "Cobwe", Mozambique. This Nimbochromis polystigma had just retrieved her fry.

We arrived at Likoma Island after dark and checked in at the rest house that Stuart had made arrangements with. No electricity runs at night here and we either used candles or lanterns!
